Europe Office - Budapest

Based in Budapest since 1996, Minority Rights Group Europe is the European regional office of MRG, with the aim to promote and protect the rights of minorities and indigenous peoples across Europe and Central Asia.

MRG Europe is responsible for the organisation and implementation of programme activities, fundraising, liasing with donors, assisting partners and monitoring project implementation.

The current programmes coordinated by the office are:

  • Advancing Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups in Southeast Europe: Minority Rights Advocacy in the EU Accession Process, 2007-2010, funded by UK Department for International Development and Charles Stuart Mott Foundation
  • Promoting Development in Europe: Towards a Critical Mass and Beyond, 2008-2010, funded by the European Commission
  • From Needs to Rights: Promoting More Effective Development Policies in Europe project (DCI-NSAED/2009/210), 2010-2012, funded by the European Comission (EuropAid).
